Prof. Birhanu Kotisso

Prof. Birhanu Kotisso has been my teacher during my undergraduate, General Surgery residency and Colorectal Surgery fellowship. He is indeed one of the giants of surgery in Ethiopia.

Calling Prof a living walking book of surgery is an understatement. He has immense knowledge, skill and wisdom that developed over years of treating patients.

Prof. has given most of his adult life to treating patients, even while he was having his own health challenges.

Even to this day, his unwavering commitment to treat patients and teaching students is something to be admired, not only to surgeons but to all health professionals.

In addition to clinical practice, he is also an example of a moral and man of principles; and he tries to instil this to every one he meets.

It makes me glad to know that his life has now been documented through his own words in this podcast. Do watch with the by clicking here

It was, and still is, a pleasure to learn from Prof. Birhanu kotisso. I wish him all the best in life.

Thanks again
